This project calculates the coefficient of static friction using experimental data. I followed the steps given by the teacher and used Microsoft Excel to organize the data and perform the calculations.
For each experiment, I computed the ratio gy/gz to find the angle and then the coefficient of static friction. Excel helped automate the formulas and calculate errors. Finally, I obtained an average value of about 0.3016.
